  1. starting indoor seeds this evening. I should add - our garden is just for us (family of 4). I'm not doing any sales or commercial type stuff.
  2. Heres the kicker... i don't care about going fast. I have too much to lose if going fast goes bad. I'm more interested in feel and sound. I've been in both. i still choose the gasser matter of fact, i'd take a pristine 2004ish cobra over any tesla lol
  3. I'd take that z06 any and every time over a truck
  4. so it's faster.... which are you gonna have more fun driving?
  5. They decided to fix all the bridges around my house adding about 10min to my drive going anywhere.
  6. Yeah that wouldn't work at my house either. We just grow everything inside until i know the cold is gone. We bought a few cheap pop up green houses from rural king. They're +- 2'x2'. Also got some cheap lights from amazon. It all works great. just have to make sure not to leave the lights on too much or they grow tall and thin. I also keep a fan blowing on them to help strengthen.
  7. I def have ALOT to learn. I kick myself for not paying more attention to my grandpa when he would try to teach me.
  8. I'll try to document our gardening this year a little better. We start all of our seeds inside minus a few cherry tomatoes that sprout up in the same spot yr after yr.
  9. Yeah i wouldn't start the tomatoes yet. We grew them in the raised beds which consisted of (bottom to top) rotting wood, leaf compost, soil, straw. Carrots aren't bothered by frost and actually grow sweeter in cool weather. It was a test to see how they would turn out. They were slow to grow but came out pretty sweet as far as carrots go. I've heard of people growing them under houses and only digging up what and when they needed some.
  10. I'm just trying to give you an arguing point lol
  11. Pulled up the carrots a few weeks ago. Got a bucket full, that tasted like... carrots lol.
  12. technically, they are electric..
  13. I wish they were more practical for us that drove lots of miles and at random times. Maybe they will in the future now that Diesel Dave (diesel bros) is involved in the electric world. When i see battery replacements that cost $20k + and is a for sure maintenance item, i can't do it. Side note: i own a 1990 F250 with a 460 and it gets around -2 mpg . If i had to drive that everyday, I would own electric regardless of my reservations
  14. show me the cost once youve driven the car 200k miles. My fuel system will still be working at 100% capacity. Thats me looking at it in a honest and accurate way. I drive my cars until it doesn't make sense to drive them anymore. currently, my 2013 Lincoln mkz has 240k miles on it and my lifetime repair bill is less than $60.00 + 1 $200 battery. I'm a fan of electric vehicles. i think they're neat. practical...no, not in my case.

  16. Didn't they announce a few years ago that all hiring was going to be based on diversity, not experience?
  17. I'll buy electric the day a battery replacement cost less than $300
  18. Bike is essentially new. Has maybe 15 miles on it. $2k I bought it before i had my knee replaced only to learn that a wreck could be detrimental.
  19. Man i remember those days! mine are 15 and 12 now. Time does not slow down... I stopped at 2 due to money and mostly time. I regret that decision now.
  20. convince them to pay you more to run it while keeping a little money flowing their way
