View your generator’s statusand maintenance needs. Set its exercise schedule. Review its running andmaintenance history. And get notified of status changes. It'll be a good for everything up 'till SHTF.

Ashley P
WiFi, interweb, whatever. Same diff. Best wishes for avoiding SHTF. I know your gen set will be more reliable *at a moment's notice* than mine. Mine has to be dug out and it'll need the carb cleaned out. NG won't have those issues. If it doesn't do what I need, in the future, I'll move on to something else that will. I would have done a larger Cummins generator, but just to get something in fast for tornado season and winter, I got this unit. It was the only one they had in stock ready to ship and the rest weren't available until after next year.

This probably applies to most of the gens out there. I finally wired up a subpanel after talking about it for 2 years. So mine just has to be plugged in and hooked up to my propane tank(quick connect).
Ashley P
Mine is near a subpanel in a detached garage. It's meant to be plugged into a nearby welder outlet, and backfeed the house. GOTTA remember to trip the MAIN BREAKER so we don't energize the neighborhood and kill linemen.

But in reality, at most you're probably running through the 50amp outlet from the generator. How far do you think it's gonna get before opening up?
JohnC
Lee company will be here tomorrow to quote the generator install. Hope it won't be over $2k. I'd say given the gas meter and electric meter are right next to each other on the same side of the house, I should be on the lower end of cost for the install.
