  1. A 1997 Corolla recently set a world (well, at least U.S.) (well, at least KY) (well, at least in my driveway) record by getting $44.50 worth of gasoline into a 10 gallon tank! Woowoo!
  2. Dear Unlubed: I don't know. I slap on reman'd units and go. When I assembled my wheel cylinders on The Deuce, I used silicone lube (to resist moisture/rust on the outside of the "cup". (Drive through one muddy creek and that's all exposed. Then it could sit for months/years. Who's gonna pull 10 wheels to clean 20 wheel cylinders?) Signed, Slick and shiny.
  3. Nothing, because there wasn't an overheating issue. The temp sensor was lying, changing too much and too fast.
  4. ^ The Maverick self identifies as getting 45 mpg. Do I get extra credit for parking my 3500 Express van in that spot this summer? What if I bend the sign over with my bumper?
  5. Programming changes have skewed it? You don't care. Roll on.
  6. Oh, and I fixed the ATF temperature on a 8Lwhatever it was....by replacing the harness on the valve body. p0711
  7. My brother and I are kinda combining forces on this issue. Yesterday he put in a new Trans Go TCC valve and Sonnax seal kit in a 6l80. Said performance was good afterward. Sonnax does have lots of "fixes" for 6L80/90s, mostly in the valve body.
  8. Do you like, love, or LOVE the lifts?
  9. I like paragraph C. Kentucky is just A and B. (IIRC)
  10. Are there limitations on mileage? KY limits Antique plate vehicle useage to car shows or such. I never put enough miles on mine to tempt enforcement.
  11. "The media" sometimes makes a big deal about 1 million US Covid deaths. Why not as much coverage of abortion deaths??
  12. ^ Political failures? Or "on purposes" to render the dollar as unusable so we''ll all switch to _____ ?
  13. Fixed for me. It WILL change a yard.
  14. Agreement here! Thanks John C.
  15. Ha, 3 teenagers, 3 on the way. Corn? We ate it! And it's bean this year anyhoo. I did polish the old plow yesterday. We need gardening practice. (and a reduction in grocery bills. And independence.)
  16. Years ago (about 2000) I computed my cost per mile of my junky diesel truck. Purchase of the truck, parts, tires, fuel, and insurance and it was 2.6 cents/mile. I drove it for several years after that. Diesel was about $2.00 at the time IIRC.
  17. But where'd he get his corn? Have you figured up btu per bushel? Bushel per acre? And remember, crop rotation: corn/beans/corn/beans/ect. Alcohol/oil/alcohol/oil for gas/diesel.
  18. I've had a rash of those transmissions with problems. Found a couple vids for info. Gonna spend a few hours to see if I can diagnose/repair these things before they burn up clutches.
  19. John C, when I was at the Toyota dealer I realized the costs to repair a hybrid could be WAY more than a gas burner. Who's gonna fix them when they break? You'll need a "connection" at NEC.
  20. ^ Groomer Lincoln, is that you??
  21. I'm glad you guys are great. 2 years old....like when the nitrous hits suddenly and overpowers the car and makes it hard to handle. Fun times! We're fine. Lots of irons in the fire lately, feels like I'm spinning tires and barely moving. Car related: A tree fell and munched the corner of the metal shed where the Goat is stored. The car got a couple more scratches out of it. But I've never fixed the crushed roof, so no big deal at all.
  22. What's up John C? How's the fam?
