  1. That’s awesome. I bought a drone last year and failed miserably. My maintenance manager at the time was not pleased as he was in the flight path and had to dive for cover. And then there is the time I flew it directly into my neighbors house.
  2. They are 12.1 compression from the factory. No boost for me. Actually taking it to Georgia this week just because. It’s a great road car. Until I find a place I’ve been driving from Maryville TN to Macon GA every Monday and home on Friday. Atlanta sucks huge scrotal sack.
  3. If you found it and like it that’s all that matters. With risk come rewards and it allows you to build a wicked Camaro.
  4. The AMG is a 15’ SLK55. Last year for the naturally aspirated hand built V8 from AMG. It’s a hens tooth in the AMG world. Has the p30 performance package and every option offered that year. Sticker was 88k. It’s a great experience, little bottom end but pulls like a freight train up high. Dads toy. Mostly outs around in it
  5. My oldest brother( who I planned to spend the 4th with) has covid for the second time. this fourth will be kinda boring.

    Nova

Praise the rubber gods those are huge!
  7. Drag radials are on the agenda. I’m now worried about the Georgia heat. I’ll be close to silver dollar dragway where the 2000hp sinks run.
  8. 53 in a week I’m still stunning
  9. After more than a year and three, yea three short block builds…….the engine for my Vette is done and Zoe t to have car shipped to TN in 2-3 weeks. LS3 stroked to 427” 10.0 compression and a fairly stout boost cam. FAST intake, 103 throttle body and AFR heads. 632hp at 6700rpm and 591ftlbs torque. Worth the wait!!!!
  10. Pats! Kinda looking like a young Churchill.
  11. Yep forged and dropped compression about a point. Darton sleeved at 427ci. should hopefully get on the engine dyno next week and if all is well car should be done soon after. would like to see near 500rwhp na. That’s on a stingy mustang dyno.
  12. Don’t know. This car has an “adaptive “ function that uses gps , speed etc to determine how it handles, shifts. It’s far better than me or my brain.
  13. 2003 was when I joined. Kinda wonder where some of the old folks are like Seth. He’s the one who first told me about the original site. And Pate, what happened to that crazy f.er.
  14. High gas prices are temporary.
  15. You are so correct. The transmission is wicked good. Snaps off shifts in milliseconds. Still, did not expect the performance. It has a “adaptive” feature that pretty much means voodoo is is play and little fairies are reading my mind and the road to ensure the car is always in the proper operating nominal zen.
  16. Most bestest car I have ever owned! But the AmG actually handles better, or seems to be easier to attack the corners.
  17. Then the D1x it is. I’ll probably ****myself but it will be a fun ****.
  18. I’ve never worried about gas prices but I empathize with low income families that have to pay the moron tax created by Bidenomics. unfortunately this is a purposeful event caused by leftist environmental nutchuggers. They love it and unfortunately until midterms are done they will continue the “transition “.
  19. So I’ve been watching him on the YouTube. He has changed his tune in many things. I think he is one of the original liberal thinkers who is disappointed with the craziness that is the new neo-liberal.
  20. Just glad they are building it. I’d probably take a Supra with a stick over it but it’s a nice car.
  21. That could be because it revs higher. The JB4 is supposed to add around 100hp. You can also mix e and go more but not doing that.
  22. I'm more optimistic. I see more and more younger people in older mustangs, Camaro's etc. and newer stuff with turbo's. They like boost,V8's and noise. Its like when I was a kid and idolized 60's muscle. Same thing different generations. Whats hurting the independents are the proprietary diagnostic tools/systems that are required to work on new cars. You have to invest in the future but ensure you can repair the past as well. Electric cars are coming and will be part of the game. The ICE is not going away anytime soon. We hear all about the end of the gas engine yet we have companies investing in new ICE's. Hell Jeeps new straight six turbo just came out. Then there is the infrastructure that requires coal to make the power. If we are willing to go all in on nuclear then I would say, sure everything will be electric. We wont so.......when you see politicians standing at the chargers espousing how wonderfully clean they are, ask them about the coal plat generating the electricity to make the chargers work.
  23. I am in love with the B58 engine in my Z4. I was honestly surprised how quick it is. Once it was available (after break in), I tried launch control. Damn! So I go to our local 1/8th mile in Knoxville. Car is completely stock on Michillin super sports. It went 7.80 at 94 in the 1/8 with a 1.9 60'. Ran several more times and it pretty much was in the 7.80's all passes. Went to Crossville. 7.9 at 92. Was much warmer out. Still, could not believe how quick this little car is. These are way under rated and looks like BMW is using whp vs crank to rate them. No way this is 382 at the crank. And because I cant leave anything alone I have an MTS intake and JB4 to go on it once my tools are available. plan charge pipes and a catted down pipe too. I think it could get into the 11's with out much problem on its stock tires.
  24. And Ford has a new green available for Mach-1 and GT500. Its stunning.
